Has anyone else had a problem with the jaws lodging themselves between the two lazy jack ropes whilst under sail, then making it impossible to lower the sail? We have tried keeping the lazy jacks under a little tension but this has not worked. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received.

I assume it is one or both of the lazy jack lines where they sprout from the lazyjack/topping lift halyard. You might want to try introducing a couple of twists in these lines by twisting the halyard to which they are attached. My lazy jacks are twisted at this point and I have never had a problem. In fact I have been trying to remove the twist to no avail. So I'll leave them as they are Hope this helps Roy

Hi.
The lazy jacks should split above the hight of the jaws so this should never be a problem.
Try lengthening the lazy jack halyard and shortening the lazy's.
I hope this helps
Neil.
